![]() Yes, DF is the most awesome game in the wolrd.Gnomoria is a sandbox village management 'em up that tasks you with helping a group of outcast gnomes on their way to building a kingdom/gnome utopia. God, Towns is sad, it may have been the best game EVER but the devs gave up. ![]() Oh Noooo, not someone who keeps saying TOWNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSZZ111!!!!!oneone It just sucks (?) comaperd to Dwarven Fortress. No Gnomoria is not that big as people say, sorry for the dev, he is trying real hard and such but I gues he has to try a lot harder. Not to mention Dwarver Fortress, the amount of learning about Dwarver Fortress is staggering huge. Towns, at least has some tutorials ingame. So the learning curve is very steap, so not impossible. Where are the tutorials ingame? There are none. Whats up with those horrible graphics? The chars are not walking, no they jump as if the game is constantly lagging. DF has way more depth and a AI that makes Gnomoria for children of the age of 4 or so. Originally posted by Solvius:I played Gnomoria for a long time now (outside steam, before I get the stupid complains that I have no hours on record in steam) but really, whats good about it? Compared to Dwarven Foretress Gnomoria sucks big time. So please, keep your trollish accusations out of here. He can still label the game Version and still not consider the game "released". I assume you believe that Version 1.0 is the official release, which is not specifically true. I also don't understand how you think the version 0.9.8 is of any significance either. And you know why it hasn't updated on it's usual bi-weekly schedule? Because the one developer working on this game just fathered a new kid. ![]() The game used to have weekly updates even earlier on. You claim Gnomoria is a Scam? How? It only updated 3 weeks ago? Most games take a month or longer to update, and if you have been following update progress at all, the game has updated bi-weekly for an entire year, this month being an exception. Now this is the point you made that really makes me question that you're just a troll or some kid who has no idea what the hell they're talking about. While it would be nice to have a tutorial, the game is constantly changing and getting better each update, it's hard to keep an up-to-date Tutorial. There is a learning curve, but I question just how much Dwarf Fortress you've played if you're complaining about this, as you would likely know how to deal with this sort of game well enough to not need a tutorial. The base game of Dwarf Fortress is 2d top-down tiles and I find it extremely boring visually. ![]() Dwarf Fortress needs a mod just to get to the same level of graphics as Gnomoria, being isometric with characters that "lag about the screen" because they have no animations. You're also pressuring a comparison between Gnomoria and Dwarf Fortress, and anyone who knows Dwarf Fortress knows that Gnomoria is quite ahead in graphics. Yes, there's no animation, but I do not mind. Graphics? I actually quite like the graphics and find them charming. AI That makes Gnomoria for Children? How? Unless you explain that ridiculous jump in thinking, it makes no damn sense. I cannot agree with anything else you listed though. The only point I agree with is that it has less depth, which is expected. It just sucks comaperd to Dwarven Fortress. I played Gnomoria for a long time now (outside steam, before I get the stupid complains that I have no hours on record in steam) but really, whats good about it?
